I write poetry. I have been doing it most of my life. As a young child, I would add verses to nursery rhymes and children's songs because I thought they were missing something. I can write a poem about anything. I've written birthday rhymes, holiday rhymes, eulogies, wedding vows, and everything in between. I have published several books of poetry and a children's book which is also done in rhyme. My poems have been accepted into several anthologies and some authors have placed them in their own books.

He's gone The world is so much colder His name etched upon the granite So final, so impersonal Tears I've been holding back now free They fall in rivers down my cheek A soft breeze begins to blow Magnolia petals float by My tears join them in a dance A dance of loss A dance of remembrance Listening, I hear his voice Floating on the wind |

When we make a mistake They say worry is a waste Just go ahead and erase Start again from a new place My mistakes have united Creating a new reality Instead of my erasing them They've begun erasing me There's no one who believes me Call me insane, disregard my fear Locked away for now but they'll listen When I completely disappear |

Jasmine's heart Was good as gold It was unfair How things would unfold Her work let her use Both her hands and her mind Attention to details A new tomb she helped find But greed is powerful She was in the way They had her murdered An "accident" no one will pay Her spirit was offered Chance her death to avenge A way to get justice Be a "Goddess of Revenge" Scorpion goddess born As Serket she rises Jasmine's death is bringing So many surprises For all those at fault There is no hope at all Only question is in how many pieces Will your dead body fall |

Fate and destiny intertwine Fulfilling a curse lost in the sands of time Two lovers destroyed in a jealous rage Are rejoined in a new day and age The evil magician returns as well Assured he'll keep them in his curse's hell The passing years reveal a way to defend Proving love conquers all in the end |

Back in the time when earth was young Greed in men's hearts had just begun Pure magic was so very real To control it held great appeal The gods felt man could use some aid This the reason were Genies made But evil hearts corrupted gift Made it a sentence none could lift Evermore in a bottle live At beck and call just wishes give Time passes by and magic fades Considered tales in modern days Divers decide to go explore A sunken ship on ocean floor Strange glimmer catches diver's eye Retrieves bottle on second try Rubs to remove the thick sea grime She brings a Genie to our time Long years alone and owners' greed In Genie's heart planted hate seed Appeared to girl lustful and bold But would find a heart far from cold Wishes she made left him unsure For her kindness he was tortured Could imprisonment have an end? Would she be his lover and friend? |
